    This bumper did not really fit my 1997 Dodge Ram 1500 perfectly. I had to modify it a bit. The first time I installed it I could not open my tailgate all the way. I had to enlarge the pre-drilled holes to allow me to lower the bumper almost an inch so that I could open the tailgate. It still does not open and lay flat. It was advertised as color "Silver" but it is a light grey which matches nothing on my truck so I will repaint it to match better. It did come quickly. It does look better than the disintegrated original.

    Nice bumper, easy to install: about 45 min. However someone forgot the license plate lights, awaiting resolution from mfg.

    Mounting brackets had to be modified to fit around the factory mounted leaf spring hangers on the frame. Aside of this, the bumper exceeds all expectations.

    This is a very good bumper. The only issue is that the corners should be more heavy duty. The corners should be as strong as the center of the bumper. I let someone use my vehicle and the bumper was caught on an I beam and bent out within a week of me installing the new bumper.
