I knew I should read the instructions, so I did. They were straight forward but omitted any mention of the fact that the base plates that lay horizontally over the stake holes were adjustable. Fortunately the provided tools (2) included an allen wrench that would only fit the lock down screws on the underside of the plate. After realizing there was a need to make adjustments so the plates completely covered the stake hole, the rest was pretty clear. I was impressed with the quality of all the parts. Everything was heavy duty and appear to be more than sufficient to keep the rails securely mounted indefinitely. That will be my expectation. I have a GMC Sierra with the six-way folding tailgate which includes a separate grab handle mounted on the left interior wall of the bed. This unit must be removed to access the hole where a bolt must go through to secure the rail mounting hardware. If you have this feature, be very careful not to let the grab handle twin bolt hardware fall inside the fender well. Just a warning. When all is assembled and I was satisfied with the alignment of the rails I went back and re-tightened all the bolts. If you have a longer handled allen wrench it will make torqueing up those top mounted bolts a lot easier. These are very attractive bed rails and I would have no problem using them as tie down points for high loads.

The Steelcraft bed rail appears to be a good product, and a much better fit for the 5-sided rear stake holes on my 2015 Silverado than the Rhino bed rails. However the instructions left much to be desired as they did not mention that the position of the bases was adjustable via setscrews underneath. The enclosed Allan wrenches, which was very helpful, clued me in. Once I figured that out, they went on fairly easily. The Rhino had a better rear bracket that bolted from inside the taillights, but they did not cover the rear stake holes. The Steelcraft brackets are bolted through the box so the bolts are exposed. AutoAccessoriesGarage was extremely helpful with my exchange.
